Vuna, vuna, i opet vuna.... / Wool, wool and wool again...

Nema me. Predem. Svila ide prekrasno, proljetna vunica takodjer. Slike slijede cim poslikam.

I am not around. Busy spinning. The silk is fabolous, the wool as well. I promise to put the photos of the ready wool and silk yarn, but before that, here is the related story. Recently and by pure chance, in one of the sacks in which the alpaca wool arrived by post, I discovered something that made me joyful (well, you may think it is silly).
It was about twenty cards with wool samples, one nicer than the other. Well, it made me both happy and sad, because of my decision from few months ago not to purchase new wool (of course, except if I see something extremely interesting, which often happens to me), since my wool storage is still full. Actually overfull.
You may ask why?
The reason is that from time to time, my Mom, aunties, neighbours, acquaintances and all other people interested when the mention of my weaving and spinning arrives, realize that once upon a time they all planned to knit, crochet, and do something creative, and somewhere in the forgotten corner there must be some woolly remains. And…. off they go to clean the house and find on the bottom of the wardrobes at home, weekend house, winter house, in the sewing machine box and elsewhere various touched and untouched wool balls which has some decades ago planned to become a husband’s pullover, daughter’s scarf, granny’s bag, auntie’s hat, friend’s slippers, or something even more advanced. All of that get sorted out, put into a bag, and then arrives to me to combine it into my weaving and use it for whatever I can think of.
This is how my wool storage grew, but from time to time, I decide to use it up. Rudi’s carpet came that way, but various other details in my other works. And, finally, here is a couple of photos of the new and interesting wool from my sample cards from the beginning of the story. Have you recognized yourself in the story??
